how have you tested your phosphate? a true 0 on phosphate can kill corals as corals do need some phosphate to survive. a lot of corals consume more phosphate as they grow..often as sps colonies grow in size they deplete phosphates which can cause a tank crash. How were you controlling nutrient levels?Have you checked wiring on all equipment to see if any copper wire has possibly been exposed to water?Did your sps bleach or lighten in colour before they died?

Phosphate was done by Idol marine using the salifert kit so it is hrd to say of its a true 0 Regardles it was very low. Unstable alk killed some SPS as they got STN from the bases up. others lightened and died. Nutrient export is done via a massive Bubble blaster XP8000 external skimmer and also running orca biocubes inside my old bubble blaster skimmer to give it as much air and flow as possible and I think this might be too effective. And concidering I only have about 11 fish in 1800L of water it is not a high bioload at all.

The display is around 1500L so i will drain 2/3rds. Or i will drain sump and clean it and then drain 50% of the display.
